We are seeking part-time and full-time employees who are available to work year-round, daytime hours. (Generally between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm) We also usually need temporary "book rush" help each semester. (see below for more information on temporary employment)

Most positions have duties that include a variety of the functions
necessary to operate a store, and may include:
* Cashiering
* Stocking Merchandise
* Checking-in Merchandise
* Inventory Control
* Customer Service
* Data Entry
* Store Cleaning & Maintenance

Some positions will require ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Prior experience is helpful, but not required.

You do NOT need to be a college graduate, or attending college, to work with us. We require only a high school diploma, (or high school graduation pending within the next six months) the ability to learn, and a good work ethic.

We schedule around your school, other work, or child-care hours, etc., but we need you to be able to work at least some weekdays prior to 3 pm, and a minimum of approximately 12-15 hours a week.

At least some weekend work is necessary. Which days and how many are negotiable, as determined by the position, your needs, our needs, school events, etc.

Evening work is rarely needed. You would not have to work any nights or major holidays.

Requests in advance for specific days off are almost always accommodated.

Within the above parameters, your schedule can be as flexible as you would like it to be.

Temporary employees work a week or more at the beginning of the semester. This "book-rush" period is our heaviest time for customer traffic. Book-rush employees generally assist with customer service at our cash registers, but may perform other duties as assigned.

Rush employees must be able to start on the day that OU dorms open, and must have afternoon hours available to work. Rush positions generally last a week or so depending on our needs and the employee's availability.

Temporary positions can lead to permanent employment.

Part-time and temporary employees usually start at the hourly minimum wage, with a review after 60 days. Occasionally, exceptions are made.

Full-time employees' wages are set on an individual basis, commensurate with experience, position, etc.

All year-round employees are eligible for an employee discount on in-store purchases.

Full-time employees are eligible for insurance and vacation benefits after a probationary period.
